“3 Color Eyeshadow in Perseus”
This shimmer Palette has everything you need for a smokey eye for the holidays. Glamorous Cosmetics recommends choosing either the gold or silver shade and applying the shade from your lash line to just above your crease. Add a little black shadow in the corners of your eyes to add drama.

“Shadow Stick in Gun Show”
This look is easy and fun! With this silver eye shadow stick, line the top and bottom of your eyes. Don’t forget to add a few extra coats of black mascara to make your eyes pop.

“Classic Lipstick in Convict”
Red is truly the color that represents the holidays. If you are feeling daring, go for a red lipstick. This lipstick in particular is a sophisticated deep red tone. With red on your lips you will draw attention to your mouth, and inevitably what you have to say. Hopefully what you will be saying is, “Damn I look hot right now.”

“Lip Shine in Salt Shaker”
This lip gloss goes perfect to balance out a smokey eye. For a red lipstick add just a touch in the center of your lips for a sultry pout. Subtle sparkle on your lips will make you the center of attention, and put you in the Holiday spirit!

“Liquid Eyeliner in Pavement”
Liquid Liner goes beautifully with a red lip. This felt tip liner should be applied as close to the lash line as possible. For extra drama bring the liner out and up for a winged application.

“Nail Polishes in Frosted Gold and Fairy Dust”
As for what nail polish to wear during the holidays- anything with glitter will go. Glamorous Cosmetics recommends something in the gold or silver family. These polishes are long lasting and won’t chip no matter how many drinks you hold throughout the night!

FALLing for Jade!

With the temperature cooling down, October is the perfect month to take chances with your makeup. You don’t have to take inspiration from the foliage outside to create a fierce fall look. Getting creative and playing with your makeup is always encouraged here at Glamorous! Last November’s winner of Elle Girl’s Teen Model Search, Jade Voight, shows off a smoky glam look featuring some of this Fall’s on trend colors: navy eyeshadow and nude pink lips.

Eyes. Sweep the lighter sky blue shade from double eyeshadow “La La Lake” across the upper lid from the lash line to the crease, blending lightly into the brow bone. With a smudge brush, take the darker blue shade and smudge the color into the crease to define the eye shape. Next use the shadow stick in “KO’d” to line the upper lashline, smudging it upward with your finger to blend into the rest of the eyelid. Using the eyeliner pencil in “Bullet Proof Black”, line the upper and lower lashlines, winging the upper line out slightly. Finish with two coats of mascara for dramatic lashes.

Face. Start by choosing the appropriate foundation shade (foundation shade “Natural” was Jade’s matching shade) and smooth it across the entire surface of the face using a brush or fingers for lighter coverage or a sponge for heavier coverage. Once the foundation is dry, apply compact powder “Natural” to set the foundation and eliminate shine.

Lips. Apply Long Stay Lipstick in“Two Lips” and then top it off with a coat of Classic Lip Gloss in “Naked Banana”.

Extra Credit. Paint your nails with Supreme Nail Polish in “Bright Orange” for a fun pop of color!

NFL cheerleader Ashley, ‘cheers’ to the Glamorous Cosmetics by being the face of our “Look of the Month!” This month’s guide to what’s hot and of course, Glam, comes straight from GC professional makeup artist, Jessica Romano. By combining the right shades of green and brown, Jessica emphasizes Ashley’s natural eye color with a subtle smokey eye. By adding just a touch of bronzer to the face and nude shine to the lips, she creates a flawlessly balanced look, just right for the field and a night out on the town. Ashley’s gorgeous green eyes and pom-pom’s inspired a look that certainly shouts “winning!”

Eyes. Sweep the lime green shade from the double eye shadow “Treasure Hunt” 1/3 of the way in starting from the inner corner of the eyelid. Pat the olive shade from the 12 color eye palette “Marrakesh” from the center of the lid, using the excess to blend towards the crease and outer corner. Buff the medium brown shade from “Marrakesh” into the outer “v” corner of the eye, blending upwards toward the brow bone. Finish with the perfect brow highlight in bone. Tilting your head back and up look down into the mirror to apply liquid liner “Pavement” right into the top lash line to enhance thickness and intensity of lashes.

Face. Choose appropriate foundation shade (foundation shade “Almond” matched Ashley’s skin tone flawlessly). Smooth foundation across entire surface of the face-more or less depending on desired coverage (Glamorous Cosmetics foundation allows for natural sheer to medium coverage). As foundation dries, feather in the brows for a naturally defined look with “Cappuccino” brow pencil. Bronze the high points of the face (center forehead, cheeks, bridge of nose) with a sun kissed look using “Bronzebomb”.

Lips. “Naked Banana” provides Ashley’s lips the perfect sheen. Concentrate application of this Glamorous “Classic Gloss” fan fave, at the bow of the top lip and center of the bottom for that extra juicy, plumped pout.

Miss September!

Demonstrating what’s hot for August is the epitome of Glamorous, beauty queen, Fatima who comes to us from the Miss Republica Dominica beauty pageant. This beauty queen sparkles with an evening look that’s both runway and red carpet ready. For September, we went for a classic color palette to showcase a smoldering smoky eye that you don’t need to be a pageant princess to pull off. Balancing the heavy eye makeup with a neutral pink lipstick and a touch of gloss pulls the look together in a way that’s sure to win the crown! Special thanks goes out to pageant director Edgar Payano and photographer Yensy Fernandez for making this look happen!

Lips. Line the lips with lip pencil in“Rise”. Fill in the lips with long stay lipstick in “Pinky Promise” and add some tube lip gloss in “No Tan Lines” for added shine.

BRIELLA IS HOT HOT HOT

When I did Briella's makeup I wanted it to be a sexy date night look. I came up with a look I think is flirty,fun, and extremely captivating. Smokey eye with a pop of color- but leaving the rest of the face clean with a barely there lip.

What makes this smokey eye great for date night is it's messy! Almost like she slept in her makeup from last night, and rolled out of bed only to accept her roses. In the industry we call this “Imperfect Makeup.” It's a really hot trend right now, that works for a romantic night or a girls night out! The key to this look is ditching the brushes. Use your fingertips to smudge liner and rub in your foundation like you would moisturizer.

We all love the way our hair looks after a trip to the beach, but there are a few simple ways to get effortless beach waves at home. Whether your hair is thin, thick, straight or wavy, you can still get perfectly tousled waves easily!

    Hair buns are a great way to get tousled waves without having to buy anything extra. Separate your damp hair into sections and twist and wrap the hair into a few low buns. Smaller sections will give you smaller waves. You can always spray a little hair spray or salt spray for extra hold. It’s a good idea to use this method at night after a shower as long as your hair isn’t too wet when you put in the buns (so that your hair is dry by morning). You may have to experiment with the placement of the buns if you leave them in overnight to make sure you sleep comfortably. When you let your hair out brush through it with your fingers and you’ll love your beach-inspired look!

    Salt sprays should do the trick for girls with any type of hair. Not only do they help keep your hair wavy, but they also add volume and help get rid of frizz. Just spray a small amount onto damp hair and scrunch up to your roots or braid your hair and blast the braid with a blowdryer until dry. A diffuser works nicely after using salt spray, but if you don’t have one just let your hair air dry. Make sure to use a leave-in conditioner or a good moisturizing serum since salt sprays can be pretty drying.

    3-barrel curling irons can also help you achieve a Glamorous beach look. For loose waves you’ll want a waver with larger barrels. Use a heat protectant first, then separate your dry hair into sections. Close the clamp on the curling iron several times moving down that section of hair. Repeat this with each section of your hair and finish with hairspray. You can also try this method with a clamp-less curling iron. Just wrap random strands around the barrel leaving the ends free to give your hair a more natural look.

If you can’t make it to the beach soon, try any of these simple methods and show off your windswept beach waves without the ocean!

We’ve chosen a few of the most Glamorous celebrity looks from last night’s MTV Movie Awards and some looks that had us questioning the style choices of certain celebrities. While Emma Stone, Elizabeth Banks and Charlize Theron stood out on the red carpet for all the right reasons, Brooke Hogan, Shailene Woodley and Leighton Meester weren’t Glamorous enough for us.

Emma Stone’s Martin Grant ivory bubble skirt and peplum black top made for both a cute and chic look on the red carpet last night. Emma completed the look by sweeping her blonde hair back, and wearing simple gold stud earrings and completed the look with Brian Atwood nude and black heels. Her makeup was kept simple, but her pink lipstick added the pop of color she needed for her overall stunning look. Get a similar lip with Glamorous Long Stay Lipstick in Tinkle.

Elizabeth Banks surprised us by avoiding the popular mini dress and arriving in a cutout Ellie Saab jumpsuit. She paired the edgy black outfit with on-trend pointy-toe heels by Ruthie Davis and pulled her hair into a topknot. Her sexy look made her stand out on the red carpet for all the right reasons. We love that Elizabeth chose a smokey eye with simple nude lips and avoided the fake tan route so many celebs take for the summer. Charlize Theron wowed us last night in an elegant red peplum dress. The stylish strapless Lanvin design was paired with gold Jimmy Choo sandals and a simple bangle. Charlize also kept her makeup minimal, flattering her flawless skin with gold shadow and a pale peach lip. Try the gold eyeshadow in Glamorous’ 3 Color Eyeshadow in Perseus to enhance your eyes in a similar way.

As for the worst looks of the night, former reality star Brooke Hogan looked more trashy than classy in a bedazzled cutout dress that would likely be seen on Dancing With The Stars. Instead of a subtle summer glow, Brooke’s skin looks a bit too orange to be natural and her makeup isn’t terrible, but it doesn’t make her look Glamorous either.

Shailene Woodley was daring in a Stella McCartney double-breasted jumpsuit that aged the 20-year-old actress. Her hair was pulled back into a messy fishtail braid and she didn’t wear much makeup, making her whole look seem too minimal.

While Leighton Meester’s peach Jimmy Choo bag and nude Brian Atwood pumps were perfect for the summer, her white shorts-and-vest combo was too dull for such a fun award show. The overall white outfit made her look wider than she actually is and her makeup made her look washed out. We liked her lipstick choice, but overall this Gossip Girl could have chosen a better look for this award show.

Glitter.Glam.Party.

I’m feeling fabulous in my bronzy-shimmery makeup! This look is perfect for parties and goes great with any outfit.

Eyes. I started by using Shadow Stick on my eye lids in“Cash or Credit” . (Shadow Sticks are my new obsession). I used my finger and blended upwards on my eyelid. I then went over it with Single Shadow in“Quicksand” and blended. I used“All or Nothing” Retractable Eyeliner (a white shade) on my waterline. Next I applied shimmery white shadow from“Pegasus” 3 color eyeshadow in the area closest to my nose or the “tear duct”. I took that same shadow and highlighted under my brow bone. I lined the top of my eyes with liquid liner in“Pavement” . With liquid liner it’s easy to do a clean wing! I lined the bottom of my eyes with“Pudding Pop” retractable eyeliner. I set the liner with glitter liner in“Copper” which also added some sexualness to my look.

Lips. On my lips, I actually used the same pencil “Pudding Pop” – I used to line my eyes. This pencil is safe for both lips & eyes. Definitely glamming. I skipped on a lipstick and applied “Naked Banana” classic lipgloss all over. I then took took the frosty white shade from the 3 color shadow “Pegasus”
and applied it in the middle of my lips to make them look fuller. I then applied even more lipgloss- making these lips kissable for the Holidays.

Face. On my skin I used Liquid Foundation in“Golden” to get a flawless and smooth coverage. To finish this look I took my HUGE bronzer aka“Bronzebomb” to contour my cheek
bones and my nose. Don’t I look sexual? Time to partaaaay.

BONUS! This polish goes fab with this look! Gold bling shade of nail polish in “21 Carat” . I love the holidays!
